Social Media Interaction

After graduating, I was asked by the director of my high school drama department to come back and help the department out by updating their website to be more modern and usable. I also worked with the director to come up with a plan for promoting the program over social media. This is an ongoing project.

The old EHS drama website was not updated very often and, while functional, was somewhat messy and in need of a new look and new information. I utilized WordPress to overhaul the look of the website and add new information and media for people to enjoy while visiting the site.

In an attempt to connect beter with a modern audience, I took on the task of creating a social media campaign for the drama department that would allow students and other members of the community to interact with the drama department at Evergreen High School. By sharing images and posts on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, everyone can spread the word about the Evergreen Theatre Department utilizing #EHSdrama

Facebook Using the Facebook page originally created for the department, I now update the page more frequently than before.
Instagram The Instagram account for the department is used to post fun images relating to the department. Instagram users can also use #EHSdrama to get their own images posted on this account.
Twitter The Twitter account is a catch-all place for quick updates and images from the department. If a tweet is sent out with #EHSdrama I will re-tweet it from this account (if it is appropriate for a high school audience).

Home Page The Home page of the site allows a quick glance of what is going on right now with the department.
Current Season The current Season page lets visitors take a look at what shows will be happening this school year at Evergreen High School, the most recent show shown here being "The Investigation."
Cast Blog The Cast Blog is where cast members in current EHS Theatre shows go to find out all the information they need to know. Rehearsal Schedules and important information for the cast and their parents is posted here frequently.
Past Productions The Past Productions page allows visitors interested in older productions put on at the school to browse through the different seasons and shows.
Past Show Page On each of the pages for the previous productions, visitors will find a promo poster and quick description of the show. Also contained blow that are pictures taken of the production and/or of the production process of the show.
Social Integration On every page of the ehsdrama.com website is a social bar, allowing quick access to the Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts for the department.
